Cignus is exhibiting at the ONS Innovation Park in Hall 8 organised by the Research Council of Norway. ONS 2024 is arranged in Stavanger on August 26 – 29. Cignus is industrializing new technology for direct mass-flow metering of fluids with particular advantages for large-scale CCS and H2 application in partnership with major energy companies and gas pipeline operators.
The technology has no practical limitation when scaling to large diameters and high operating pressure. Additional key advantages are high accuracy for direct mass-flow and very low internal pressure loss. A customer-site industrial CO2-test campaign demonstrating pressure loss < 1/10 and similar accuracy to traditional Coriolis technology confirms TRL6 for CCS.
A first H2-prototype tested at DNV resulted in mass flow deviation within 0.2%FS and internal pressure loss limited to few mbar confirms potential for high accuracy for a wide range of H2-applications, from single electrolysers with capacity in the range 5-30 MW to large-scale pipeline transport.
